1) Choose one of the two morphometric tasks below. Due 4/25

a) Using bluegill data, get length-weight relationship for Bluegills and determine if males differ from females.

b) Using flier dataset, determine the best model (SLR, Polynomial or Power model) for the flier sunfish body length - scale length relationship.

in either case, justify your conclusions with statistical tests.


2) Run either a Ricker recruitment model on the Plaice dataset or a Schaeffer model on the Halibut dataset. Due 5/02

Provide estimates and confidence intervals of regression coefficients for Ricker model, or

Discuss which of the several approaches is best for the Schaeffer model.


3) Fit a growth model for the flier sunfish. Determine if the growth model is the same for the two sexes (omit immatures). Due 5/09
